Course Intro

Introduction

This 2 ½ day course builds on the foundational knowledge and skills obtained from Level 1. You will learn to image and evaluate detailed fetal anatomy to determine the normality, or otherwise, of the organs and associated structures. A logical scanning protocol will be demonstrated to ensure a thorough examination of both fetus and mother is performed. The technical components of ultrasound scanning will be emphasised to help you produce the high quality images necessary for confident analysis. All learning material will be made available for you prior to the course, please look through the presentations (even the bits that may seem more complex) and the content will be reinforced in the contact sessions.

Note

FCOG/SASUOG recommends that any deviation from normal should be referred to a fetal medicine specialist.
