- The abdomen:
- An in depth look at evaluating the more difficult organs or areas, such as: the gastrointestinal tract, pancreas, prostate and uterus, adrenal glands, major abdominal lymph nodes, the peritoneal space and an introduction to tissue sampling techniques focusing on fine needle aspiration.
- Differences between the canine and feline.
- Examples include:
- Focusing on difficult areas like the common bile duct and duodenal papilla, the pylorus, and a detailed evaluation of the wall of the stomach and intestines.
- Using the anatomical landmarks used to find small organs such as the adrenal glands, lymph nodes and pancreas. and to be able to differentiate normal appearance from pathological changes.
